General Information



Douglas Hughes has been a professional actor for 34 years, and has appeared in theaters across the country, including a combined 16 seasons at the Shaw and Stratford Festivals. Doug began writing in 1991 when he teamed up with Marcia Kash to pen Who's Under Where? As well as collaborating on A Party to Murder and Too Many Cooks, he and Marcia have penned the comedy Jack of Diamonds and were recently commissioned to write a play for the Lighthouse Festival in Port Dover, Ontario. On his own, Doug has also written a one-act comedy entitled Taken for Granted, as well as three screenplays--Hearing Trouble, Star Struck and A Different Corner.
